Mundane Mindfulness

Summer is a busy time for us here on our little homestead. No matter how chaotic things seem, though, I make it a priority to stop and center myself as often as possible, even if it only happens while I’m washing dishes or folding laundry ~ deep breathing, making a mental gratitude list, eating real foods and pausing for two seconds before responding to others are just a few ways to live consciously in a hectic modern life. 

I was recently inspired by some intuitive guidance that was given to me during meditation:

When you find sacredness in each breath,
embody mindfulness in each action 
and choose love in each expression,
you become your own temple, 
and life itself becomes your religion.
